The monthly fee

What it replaces. Separate bills for hosting, your domain and a security certificate, plus an hourly rate every time something needs changing.
What you keep. Your website and your domain are yours. After the first 12 months the fee runs month to month, with one month’s notice to stop.

Hello, I'm Charlie.
“When you work with me, you deal with me.”
I'm a software engineer from Leicestershire, and Cure & Code is my studio.
I started out building websites for local businesses I knew, and kept running into the same story: sites that were out of date, cost too much, or needed an agency every time a price changed. Cure & Code is my fix for that. A proper website at a fixed price, looked after by the person who built it.
I'll answer the phone, explain things in plain English, and I'll still be here next year when you need a change made.
I'm based in the East Midlands, but where you are doesn't matter. I work with businesses across the UK and abroad, by phone, video call and email.

What does the monthly fee cover?
Hosting, your domain name, the security certificate, software updates and backups, small changes each month, and support from me. One fee, nothing else to renew.
Do I own my website and domain?
Yes. Your domain is registered in your name, and your words, photos and logo are always yours. If you ever leave, I'll move the domain over to you and hand you a copy of your website.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
The monthly fee has a 12-month minimum term, which is what keeps the upfront price low. After that it runs month to month, and you can stop with one month’s notice.
How long does it take?
You'll see a preview of your homepage within three working days of telling me about your business. Most sites go live within two weeks of the go-ahead, depending on how quickly we get your words and photos together.
Do you only work with businesses near you?
No. I'm based in the East Midlands, but I work with businesses all over the UK and abroad. Everything happens by phone, video call and email, and your preview arrives as a link, so where you are makes no difference. Prices are in pounds sterling.
Can I make changes later?
Yes. Small changes are included in your monthly fee: new photos, prices, opening hours, an extra paragraph. Bigger changes, like a new page or a new feature, are quoted up front so there are no surprises.
What if I already have a website?
That's fine, and common. I'll build the free preview first so you can compare it with what you have. If you go ahead, I'll move your domain over so there's no gap in service, and your old site stays up until the new one is ready.
Do you take on bigger projects?
Yes. Web apps, customer portals and systems that work with the tools you already use are quoted per project, with a fixed price agreed before anything starts. Tell me about yours.
